Cocona products add two features to the yarns and films that aid in keeping the wearer drier. The patented process of protecting and exposing active particles in yarns and films increases the surface area of the product along with adding a method to efficiently capture and utilize energy being released by the wearers body. This added surface area leads to an increased evaporation rate of liquid water, thus when water wicks over the same distant on a fabric the liquid spreads over a larger surface even though it appears to be traveling the same distance.
